My H1 expires June 30th buy my h4 wont be approved till late July( its already applied.)Would I be out of status ( July 1 to till my H4 is approved. Do I have to leave country to get new I 94? srevis Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 I was on H4 when I came to US and I have been on H1 for the past 5 months. If I need to change back to H4, I understand that I can file a change of status or go back to home county and return on H4 visa. If I choose the second option, Can my H4 visa get rejected because I was on H1 for a small period of time? Link to comment
