Can EB2 Primary Change Job While dependent I-485 pending?

Hello All,

1. I received my GC in Sep 2013, can i change my employer in Oct 2014 since it would be one year with my current employer who filed my GC?
2. My wife's I-485 is still pending, and USCIS responded saying an officer is working on your case please wait for 60 days for further response. would it be problem for my wife's GC if i change my employer now?

My attorney is not responding, probably he is more loyal to my current employer !!!

Yes you can change your employer.

Oh..you got your GC almost a year back?? Ofcourse you can change your job and move on to another employer.

 

Your wife's I-485 will NOT get affected by this step.

I-485 stage is your application. You can safely change the employer and it will not hurt anything in your wife's GC application. You don't need to ask lawyer on this at all.
