Urgent!!! Green card cost to attorney at one time ?

All,

 

This is very urgent. My employer agreed on filling GC as long as cost is 50:50. When they know they can't ask PERM cost, they are asking me I485 cost NOW total - 6K from that

$4300 due now and remaining 1700 at the time of 485 filling.

 

I never heard of attorney ask full service charge of Green Card process at the beginning.

 

Can anybody shed more light ?

Obviously that's true. You can't pay the attorney fee for your I485 filing before you file.

I say find another employer or tell him that I will hire my own attorney at that time. So for now you have nothing to pay.

That's right, usually lawyer's charge in steps as we go along our GC journey, never a lump sum like you mentioned. Probably you could pick up your own lawyer as long as your employer agrees to work with that lawyer.
