Real estate agent on H1B

Hello, 

I am in Wisconsin and on H1B visa. I checked with WI licensing agency and they said I can apply for real estate salesperson license in WI on H1B visa.

 

My question here is: can I actually practice and make money by selling houses while I am on H1B? Am I allowed to make this additional income and report it in my tax fillings?

While you may be able to get a license, you can NOT actually work as real estate agent.

You would need work authorization for it, and your H1 only allows you to work for your employer.

And it is not possible to get an H1 for selling houses, since a degree is not required for that.

No you cannot make money with additional job or profession on H1B.

Thanks. How about buying a place and renting it out for income.
