H1B transfer normal processing

Hello,

 

I have got the receipt no# for my h1 transfer and the case is under review.

 

Is it ok to announce my resignation to my current employer before my transfer is approved?

Can my current employer kick off a premium revoking process upon learning than i am going to leave?

Even though you can resign from current employer and join new employer based on receipt notice it is not advisable to do so. You might end up with trouble if current employer revokes H1B petition and new employer's H1B petition is denied. Wait for approval. And, there is no premium process to revoke your H1B petition.

@samy123 - I will recommend that you do not resign at your current employer until the H1B transfer is approved and a decision is made. Though you can start working once the notice is received, it is always advisable to wait till it is done.
