Hi,

Following are my case details:

Industry:Pharmaceutical

Masters degree (From US): Chemistry

H1B stamping: 2nd time (Earlier one was done with no issues at Chennai consulate)

Consulate: Hyderabad

Interview date: June 26th

Q&A:

VO: What is your company's name?

Me:xxxxx

VO: What are your job duties?

Me: I develop methods for analysis of xxxx

VO: What is your title?

Me: Scientist

VO: What is your salary?

Me:xxxxx

VO: What is your degree in?

Me:Chemistry

She only reviewed my passport, typed something into the computer and gave me a 221g whiteslip with  a case number and asked me to talk to the lobby manager for details. She also gave me my passport back.

The lobby manager said that I will receive an email with all the documents that need to be submitted and this does not mean visa rejection.

I got an email the same day with a questionnaire asking about my research plans and transcripts and degrees.

I think she put Chemistry and Scientist together and thought I am into chemical research and gave such a query. I work for a pharma company doing formulation support and not exactly research. My lawyer said that its a simple case of confusion and should not take more than 6 weeks.

I have not seen any 221g white slip cases online recently.

Is anyone in the same boat? Any idea of the approximate processing times?

Thanks in advance!
