Eligibility for Drop-Box

My current H1b is valid is till Aug 2014 and I am planning to visit India next month in June and I have to get my stamping done. Lets say the approval is given and I come back in June itself and file for an extension, which I might get for one year only. If I have to visit again to India in Oct 2014 and I am with the same Employer and Client and Location then am I eligible for Drop-Box program (no interview and no fingerprint) ?

Per this site http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-visarenew.asp I think I'll be eligible for my situation but wanted to confirm.

Thanks in advance!

The passport will be delivered in the normal processing time, as if you went for the interview. So if the visa is approved your passport should be stamped and ready for pick-up nex

Need confirmation on eligibility (or non-eligibility) of Drop Box at US Consulate @ Chennai for next year.

My current situation is below:

1. H1-B – Employer A – 2010 (stamping obtained in Chennai in 2011)

came back to US, no travel outside US since then

2. H1-B – Employer B – 2012 (approved visa I-797 available, valid until feb 2015)

- no stamping obtained since didn’t go out of country

3. H1-B – also with Employer B – renewal will be initiated in Sep/Oct 2014.

Since my current H1B (no stamping done for that since did not travel outside US since that approval) and my renewal will be from the same employer – am I eligible for drop box even though I have not gone for stamping with this employer previously?

[Note: this is my first post, so if this needs to be moved to a different/ new thread, please let me know the same as well]

Since you changed employer you are not eligible for dropbox.
