Interview location Change within Canada

Hi All,

 

I have already submitted my DS160, where I mentioned Toronto,CA to be my interview consulate. However the next available date in Toronto is in October 2014. I was wondering if I could change my interview consulate (on csc site) to Ottawa without making any changes to my DS160 or even filling a new DS160 ?

As per the above link it appears that I can, but I just wanted to see if people here have successfully got their visa stamped after being in such situation and also without making changes to DS160.

 

If I do have to make changes please let me know.

 

Also does the Toronto Consulate work like the ones in India. I mean do the open dates for only the next 2 weeks ?

You cannot do that with the same DS 160. You will have to submit another DS 160 to the consulate of your choosing and book your date. My friend initially submitted his DS 160 to Vancouver and then submitted to Ottawa..
