EAD/ AP Combo Card

My husband e-filed for his AP in November 2013 and the status shows Intial review, so the decision is still pending.

 

Now he need to renew his EAD as it is expiring in July end and he wants to apply for EAD/AP combo card.

 

Is there any risk associated with that or can we put the prior AP application on hold and apply for EAD/AP combo card?

No Risks except for the fact that you have to pay again for EAD\AP combo. You may not be able adjust \ convert AP filed in November 2013 to this new combo one.
