I-485 Pending more than 180, change jobs

My i-485 application has been pending more than 180 days and I have switched to EAD. MY application was filed for an 'IT business Analyst' role.

 

1. Can I change job to "IT manager" in a completely different company? Will AC-21 poratbility apply to this situation?

2. If AC-21 portability will not apply, what are my options? Will the new employer have to start the process from LC filing, in which case will I get to keep my priority date from the prior i-140 application or will my priority date change. Is this scenario advisable? What are the risks?

3. What happens to my wife's EAD. Can she continue her current employment. Does me changing jobs affect her EAD which is through my application?

If your new job is similar and your I-485 has been pending for 180 days (EAD has nothing to do with it), you are eligible for AC21. If not eligible, you may file a new immigrant (I-140) case. If you go the other route, you will be working with a lawyer who should be able to take care of your wife's EAD.
