Urgent: Any one travelled in bus from US to Canada

Hi All,

 

I am planning to travel in bus from NYC to Ottawa. What is the the process for returning the I 94? Do i need to return it at the grayhound or Canada-US customs?

 

 

Have any one travelled in bus? Plese share your experiences..

Why BUS? its gonna take for ever + the immigration would be taking longer

I recently went from DTW to Toronto. I forgot to give my i-94, but the process is to give it to the Canadian Office while interview. I was under the impression that they will ask.

the canadian customs doesnt take ur i-94...

 

i recently drove from buffalo to toronto...at the border...the canadian guys said...keep it...you will need it on ur way back...

 

I have been to canada for stamping in a bus as well...the canadian customs do not take ur I-94...u can always try...

 

you can always return it when you are entering into the country after your stamping...doesnt matter....

 

I think the automatic re validation has to do something with this...if you have a valid I-94 and a valid 797...you can come back into the US from (canada or Mexico) within 30 days...even if your visa on the passport has expired

 

This is not applicable if you have already attended your visa interview and have your passport in hand while your visa stamping is being processed.

 

Slowly they are all moving to an electronic form of I-94
