JoeF
Is there any legitimate way to get a nanny or home worker to USA from India? If yes, what are details on eligibility, requirements and necessary procedures? From http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/domestic.html "If you are a personal or domestic employee accompanying or following to join your employer who seeks admission into, or who is already in, the United States in B, E, F, H, I, J, L, M, O, P, Q, or R nonimmigrant status, you may be eligible for the B-1 visa classification provided: •You have been employed outside the United States by your employer for at least one year prior to the date of your employer's admission to the United States, or if the employer-employee relationship existed immediately prior to the time of your visa application, your employer can demonstrate that s/he has regularly employed (either year-round or seasonally) domestic help over a period of years preceding the time of application; " Link to comment

t75
If you have GC, how does she work in your home in India? As a GC holder, you are supposed to be making your permanent home in the US. Hire a person legally entitled to work in the US Link to comment
JoeF
My current visa status is Green Card. Then it is not possible at all, anyway. Only for people in certain non-immigrant statuses (as I quoted above) or for US citizens is is possible in certain circumstances to get a household help from abroad. See the link that I posted.
