I-94 not taken from passport

I have travelled to toronto canada on nov 28th 2013 by bus and my I-94 was not taken off from my passport as far as i remember and now i m waiting for my Visa decision and dont have passport with me.. Would that be a problem in getting my H1-B visa with I-94 in the passport?
