H4 Change of status Visa stamping - Interview Waiver program

Hi,

 

I was on H1 visa but applied for H4 a month ago after resigning. My H1 visa has been stamped in India last year. My husband works for the same company i used to so my H4 petitioner is the same. Now do H1 and H4 fall under the same "class"? I am trying to see if I can utilize the drop off facility and skip the interview.

I think you are eligible for interview waiver program. You can use drop off facility. Please note if consulate believes they need to interview you, they would contact you further.

U do not fall under Dropbox . It has to be same kind of visa. You have to go for the interview

Not same kind of visa, same class of visa. Here we are talking about H class visa like H-1b and H4...
