Port of Entry different than Sponsor's State

Hi,

 

I am a California resident. My parents recently got thier Green Card. Thier GC(immigration petation) was sponsored by my father's sister who stays in New Jersy(NJ).

 

While entering USA for the 1st time on Green Card, the port of entry has to be NJ or they can directly enter from CA ?

What are the consequenecs & what questions should they be ready to answer, if we decide to have CA (San Fransisco) as the port of entry ?

Any state or city. Does not matter.

Not really. If immigration officer asks they can always say the truth that they are visiting their children (you) at CA.
