DS-160 question on Employment History

I have one question on Employment history section in DS-160 form. In 2011, I worked for one IT consultancy company (A) on CPT and all my I-20 having Company “A” name. But my pay roll run on “B” (A & B sister companies). I got the W-2 form on  company “B” name.

 

Please advise me, Which company name should I use in the DS-160 forms?

Well who ever is your sponsor he should run your payroll. You need to mention all the companies you worked in the past

Working for A and getting paid by B, something is not right here.

If your I20 has employer A on it then you are working for Company A and get paid by Company A.

yes it was my part of curriculum

But still they are two different companies under same management. And your I20 has comp 'A' name on it, so your employer is 'A' and get paid by 'A'.

And you didn't got authorization to work for 'B'. So getting paid by 'B' is nothing but getting paid for unauthorized work

Do we have to mention the part time job we did to stay in the F1 status (OPT)...I did my MBA and we have this 90 days rule of unemployment...so I have to show that I worked parttime for my friends company till I started my first project with my consultancy...should I mention that in DS 160 as well?
