Bad timing ... GC/EAD help

I am in a potential bad situation and would appreciate any guidance you can give.

 

I am currently employed using my EAD (I have the EAD and AP card). My priority date (Feb 2008) is going to be current starting in September 2013 (i just checked the visa bulletin). I received a request for additional information in June 2013 and was able to provide the necessary information within a week.

 

But unfortunately, as of August 2013, I am in a situation where my company might be laying off a lot of people including me. Given the timing of things, how much time do i have to secure a new job without hurting my GC process?

 

Any help or guidance in this matter will be much appreciated.
