My younger sister (26 years) old and my parents went for B2 visa interview at Delhi consulate and following is their experience :

Dad indicated that he is paying for the trip for all three of them. All three are employed full time in India. I am on H1B and work full time with a US based product company.

Interview was at 8 in the morning, they were the first in the line.

VO : How are you all related ?

My sister answered.

VO : Why do you want to go to US ?

Dad : Tourism and visiting older daughter

VO: What does your daughter do in the US ?

Dad: She works.

VO: Which company ?

Dad forgot the name. Sister answered correctly.

VO: Do you have her visa approval copy ?

Sister passed the copy to him.

VO: Is she married?

Dad: No

VO : Where does she live ?

Sister answered.

VO: (To dad) What do you do sir ?

Dad: I am a physician.

VO: What kind of physician?

Dad explained.

VO: So do you work with a hospital ?

Dad explained. (he works with a private hospital)

VO: (to sister) What do you do?

Sister: I am a chartered accountant and work at XXX company at xxx position.

VO: Whats you annual income?

Sister answered.

VO: Are you married?

Sister: No

VO: Congratulations, your visa is approved, welcome to United States.

Thats it. All three got the visa. I am so happy. Since i had read in most places that younger, unmarried females stand no chance at B2, we were tensed but it could not have gone better than that.

I have been a reader of murthy forum so decided to post our experience to give hope to all younger brothers and sisters who want to visit :-)
