EAD Renewed to 1yr instead of 2yrs

Hi Friends,

My priority date is Dec 2008 and i got the EAD first time in last year (I485 pending) for an year till mar '13.

I applied for an EAD extension in dec and i got EAD extension and AP again for an year.

My question is

-There are 4 of ou friends who is around same priority date as mine and all 4 of them got a 2yr extension and we all applied on same date

So my HR or friends are suggesting to call USCIS and find why only they have given 1yr extension instead of 2years..

Pls let me know if someone face this same situation and USCIS resolved it and sent the 2yr renewal card again?

How far you advise to call them,is it worth to call them or wait again till EAD expiry and again do renewal..

Its upto USICS discretion whether to approve EAD/AP for 1 yr or 2 yrs. There is nothing you can do about it. Just file again one more time next year and there is no fee.

Was your experience with EAD only card? or was it with ead-ap combo card?

I was duped last year and ended up getting a 1 yr combo card. contacting USCIS didn't get me anywhere.

Now I am due for renewal soon, I am wondering if I should apply for ead only renewal. I read somehwere that chances of getting 2 yr card are greater with ead-only card instead of combo card.
