rakesh31
Hello folks - I would like to sponsor for my in-laws' visitor visa. Will that be ok or should it be only my wife who should sponsor for her parents'? Thanks Rakesh Link to comment
omshiv
your in-laws should sponsor themselves...you should stay out of this to make the affair simple. Link to comment

popkorn
Honestly does not matter. Although attorney at my wife's office told that it is always preferred to show that daughter is sponsoring instead of son-in-law. But, like I said, hardly matters. Either daughter or son-in-law or both should be ok. Just make sure you get all the documents for sponsor(s) in order! Link to comment
Guest Noah Lotte
none of this matters since, as has been said more than a 1000 times.....there is NO such thing as any form of legal sponsorship in the B1/B2 visa category....relatives, friends or a company may offer to foot the bill for travel, etc, but no offer made by anyone or any entity is legally enforceable; thus, the entire concept is more window dressing than anything else. What matters during the interview is the applicant being able to establish their credibility as bona fide tourists (or visitors for pleasure), on their own, without intervention or promises made on their behalf by others.
