I went for my H1 visa stamping in Chennai in Feb 2012 when I was working for my previous employer, and got the passport stamped until 30SEP2014. Now I changed the job in June 2012 and received I-797 for three years (21JUN2012 TO 20 JUN2015). I am getting married in May 2013. My question is, can my wife (after marriage) attend H4 visa interview with my current I-797 approval or not? My visa stamp has my previous employer's name. Does this cause any issue? Your wife needs your latest 797 for the interview VISA stamp is not an issue in your case, you can use your old valid H1 visa. Link to comment
