2nd Term of H1B after finishing 6 yrs of H1B

Hi All,

I have a question regarding 2nd term of H1B. Following is my scenario:

I switched to H4 visa about a year ago after my 6 years on H1 in USA. My wife is still on H1. Can I apply for a new H1 since it's been over 365 days? Technically I was not working on H1 for a year. Will I get the approval even though I did not leave the country for 365 days?

Really appreciated any kind of help.

In order to restart the six year period of H1B, an individual must have been physically outside the United States for one full year before applying for H1B.
