suresh21
Hello, I would like to know how long would it take for the DOL to determine the prevailing wage for the Green Card Process. I think it is first step in the Perm process and in my case it has been close to 2-3 months. Does that take that long?? Please let me know .Thank you. Link to comment
Attorney_11
The National Processing Center of the Department of Labor reflects that they are currently considering cases filed in November. Link to comment
suresh21
Thank you for the reply. Is there any website I can check the processing times ? when I did my research on the processing times, most people said it takes about 2 months. Apparently, thats not the case. Also, I am referring to Prevailing wage determination for Green Card. Thank you again. Link to comment
blancx
http://icert.doleta.gov/ You can check the GENERAL processing times on this website. The times are not guaranteed. It can take months or weeks. Mine was issued in exactly 6 weeks. Murthy atty had suggested it takes 6-8 weeks, but longer (and shorter) times are possible as well. Below is the snapshot from March 7 NPWC Processing Times (as of 02/11/2013) Processing Queue Request Date Status* H-1B January Current H-2B January Current PERM January Current Submission Date Redeterminations January Current Center Director Reviews January Current *Current: PWDs: H-1B 60 days, H-2B 30 days, PERM 60 days. Attorney_25
They are usually pretty consistent in issuing these right at 6 weeks, but there may be reasons in some cases to take longer. If yours has taken almost 3 months, there might be a problem. You may want to discuss with the person who filed the wage determination request. Link to comment
ainaa
My company filed for a PWL with DOL on January 30th <Green Card case> and we still haven't heard back. Should I be worried or does this still fall under "normal"? Link to comment
sedula1984
Doea anybody have an idea WHY it would take that long? In my simple mind that determination cannot be much more than somebody pulling up the respective table and figuring how the proposed salary measures up to the standard. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes, particularly for fairly common jobs. I mean, it took me a few minutes of googling to find out what the average salary for my future colleagues is before I showed up to the interview... Link to comment

It's backlog that creates the queue, not the amount of the work required. Link to comment
