Driving Canada on tourist visa.

Hi,

I received multiple entry visa to Canada good for 4 years. I drove through blue water bridge. She asked me few questions and finally said I can go to Canada. It was night time and I did not check my passport right away.

When I checked it at motel there is no stamp at all saying that I entered Canada today on passport.Is this common now-a-days or she did a mistake?

Please let me know . Appreciate your help in advance.
