kakajunior
Hi, My mom arrived to US about a month ago. She has valid I-94 till mid of April. I would like to extend her stay for another 3 months up until July. The main purpose is we would like to take her to few more places in the summer. When does I send my extension application to USCIS? Is there a rule that I have send her extension application six weeks before her current I-94 expires? Thanks, Link to comment

Well for extension you need to have a genuine reason or a serious situation where she needs to be in US. Link to comment

harihere
From the i-539 instructions: We suggest you filet at least 45 days before your stay expires, or as soon as you determine your need to change status. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-539instr.pdf http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/m-752.pdf Link to comment
t75
She had a short I-94 time. This is unusual for most visitors; an extension in cases such as this is riskier than for others. The instructions are publicly available Link to comment
JoeF
Hi, My mom arrived to US about a month ago. She has valid I-94 till mid of April. Is there a reason for the short I-94 time? Is there anything written on the I-94? If they give out I-94s for shorter times, they often write "No EOS/COS" on it. Link to comment
