A# Number changed in EAD Renewal Receipt Notice

Guys,

I am currently in H1B status valid till Sep 2013. I got my initial EAD and AP combo card in Apr 2012.

On 25-Jan-2013, I applied for my EAD and AP renewal and got the receipt notice in USPS mail on 1-Feb-2013. In the AP receipt notice, my A# is the same as what I have in my application. But, in my EAD receipt notice, my A# is different.

Is this usual, or I need to talk to USCIS customer service immediately.

This is not usual. Although it doesn't appear to be anything more than an error, it would be wise to notify USCIS to ensure that the new EAD/AP card has the correct A# on it.

Thanks a ton "Attorney 11" for you suggestion. Yes, I talked to the USCIS customer service and they opened service request to the "Texas Service Center". Will post on the outcome.

Yesterday I got an update from USCIS that they have corrected my A#.
