adityasutrave
Hi, I am currently a PhD student on a F1 visa. I still have some time for graduation but would like my parents to visit here once. My father is retired and mother is a housewife. Both are well off and will sponsor themselves. How should I word the invite letter, just a visit to see their son or should I include graduation ceremony at any place. Will it be a problem since my father is retired? Link to comment
t75
A visit by a retired parent is more reasonable than by one who is still working; workers seldom have the amount of vacation time stated by applicants. Just invite them. Mentioning graduation may have officer ask for invitation announcement. Link to comment
