JoeF
Are you so wealthy that you can stay in the US without income for 6 months? Link to comment
t75
B1 is for working for a foreign company on specific tasks in the US. You will be granted only the amount of time required to accomplish the task which is generally not 6 months. Stay/go home and come the right way. Link to comment
chakrakr
you'll need H1 stamping. Wrong ! If it is approved with a COS, OP will not require a Visa stamp. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Since the B1 I94 has to be till the H1 kicks in for a person to apply for a COS and since on B1 it would be extremely unusual to get a 6 month I94 the question is moot. Chakrakr, He is coming on a B1 visa to get a H1 sponsor. What is going on? Link to comment

The question is, if one is granted a H1 with COS , does he/she need to go out and get a visa stamp and the answer is no. Link to comment
