H1B stamping in Johannesburg

Hi Guys,

Here's my situation:

Had a H1B visa with my current employer, which was cleared after long wait of the administrative processing in hyderabad consulate in india. Never travelled to US on that.

Found a New employer in the US, they filed my H1B petition (cap exempt) and got it approved.

Right now I am in Johannesburg South Africa on an assignment. Can I go to the US consulate here in joburg and get the stamp without any issues?

Are there any specific documents that the Consulate here would need in regard to my current work status here in SA?

Did you get your H1B stamped at the JNB US Embassy? I am planning to visit JNB in Nov/Dec 2014 time period and get it stamped there? Can you share your experience?
