helpme140
Hello, I am wondering if i can get some help on some questions i have - It looks like due to the increased numbers of EAD applicants (DACA), the timeframe to get an EAD/AP renewed seems to have increased. A couple of friends had this issue. - Is there a way to get an EAD/AP faster on the basis that someone will lose their job if the EAD is not produced on time? - Is there a way to continue working legally with the fact that the EAD renewal was applied but is still under processing assuming the expiry date is within 90 days of the application date? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks. Link to comment
helpme140
Thanks Pontevecchio. I am not fully aware of this avenue, any more light you could shed on this please? Thanks. Link to comment
pontevecchio
http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/Laws/Memoranda/Static_Files_Memoranda/Archives%201998-2008/2008/245(k)_14jul08.pdf Basically a total of 180 days is forgiven. So a few days without EAD while waiting for the EAD should be no problem if the employer does not mind. Link to comment
helpme140
Thanks again. So, it does not require any new filing as such before continuing the employment? Link to comment
