Please suggest-planning for stamping when petition is valid for 4 months

Hi,

I am FTE, dierctly working for very good company and have spent 4 years on h1.

My work peition is expiring in next 4 months, and I am planning for visa stamping in Nov in India, is there any risk in stamping as work petition is valid for only 3 more months?

Also in DS-160 the contact details/address should be Indian or US?

It is risky going to stamping when you are reaching your validity end date.It would be better applying for the extension in premium process and schedule the visa interview.

In DS-160 if you are living in US you should give US address.

you can apply for extension 6 months before your current one expires. i would suggest you get your extension and get visa on that new H1
