h4wifelife
Hi all, I am new to this forum. I am glad I found this. As my username suggests , now I am an H4 wife. Life is good and I am not frustrated with this life. I was working before marriage, around 1.5 years in an IT MNC and then met my husband. I wanted to ask this question to all green card holders and people who have returned to India. How optimistic should I be ,if at all I become eligible to work here , I do not intend to go to school because of financial constraints as well. What all avenues can I look for, if I look for a job again, both here and in India(IT and non-IT)? I have done very well in academics and also in my previous job. Your inputs would be valuable! Please help. Link to comment
nineballs
US is a land of opportunities. The country has jobs for everyone. If you have good academics, getting a new H1 should not be any problem next year. And, If you get work authorization, you can get any job IT or non-IT. If you got the skills, US has got jobs. Best of luck. Link to comment

pontevecchio
Without knowing specific credentials one cannot help. It makes a difference if say your Degree was from an IIT for example. You can and should study further if you are thinking long term of settling here with a career. Link to comment
h4wifelife
Hi, thank you for your reply! I am not from IIT. I am an engineer from an ordinary college nd I worked with an IT firm for a little over a year. I can't go to school because of financial constraints. We haven't decided where to get settled. India/US, IT/Non-IT,how optimistic can I be? Link to comment
pontevecchio
The sky is the limit. Anything and everything is possible. Salaries in India are mind boggling. One can also consider Canada, Australia and NZ if migration is a goal as it is much quicker and easier than the USA. Link to comment
