Would GC processing get affected due to change of Role?

I have a question regarding my brother's employment based GC filing. He is working for company A who filed his GC in EB2 category as a Sr. Developer. However he is more into a managerial role. His labor etc..has been approved and is waiting for dates to get current. Now, if he switches to another company B, as a manager (non technical), would it cause any problem with his GC filing? Can the company B still go ahead and file his GC without any hiccups (more of because his work domain wil be different on paper).
