Try your luck at different times. Day/Night/Odd time. If some appointment gets canceled, you will be able to get that. Or use nvars service (but you will have to pay additional)

I want to get my H1B visa stamped in Vancouver asap like - in Oct (latest Nov). I saw that the available dates now are directly in Dec. Does anyone know if there is still a way to get Oct/Nov dates? Should I wait for some more days and see if cancellations are happening? Is there any possibility?

If you keep checking the next available appointment, you can find in Oct/Nov.

Scheduled the best appointment available right now in case you won't get any earlier date.

And then go to website everyday different time to see any one cancelled their appointment.

Just make sure you don't cancel your existing appointment and be prepared as you may get appointment in next 10 days or so.

Yeah...I guess..I just saw that the available date was in '2 days'. So cancellations might happen. I will wait for some time and keep checking the dates.

You can re-schedule visa dates any number of times given the condition that you do it before cut-off period . Cut-off period is generally 3 days, 72 hours of your scheduled appointment so if you appointment is scheduled on Oct 10th, reschedule it before 7th Oct (on safe side 5th Oct).

Also do not cancel your appointment at the beginning, just find out if any other dates available and then reschedule it.

I have not paid much attention on changing consulate but there are numerous forums here which will guide you for that.
