srikanth552
Hi Posting on behalf of my friend. He his H1b stamped (till 2014 Sept) in India and now he returned back to US. Now he is planning to change employer. Suppose if his employer changes, then does he need to get his visa stamped if he go to India ? or does his previous stamped visa work? Thanks in advance. vidhya18
Hello Srikanth , I was also having the same questions as your friend and to my knowledge we dont need stamping when you travel back to India as our visa not expired. Its like you have your student visa for 5 yrs in spite you change your univ , you dont need Visa stamping until its valid right ? Same thing applies here also I think . Please confirm with others again . Link to comment

rahul412
Yes, Every time you change employer and you leave US, you have to go for stamping.. It is annoying but it is the truth You need stamping only if the visa is expired. Not every time you change the employer. Changing the employer is related to your status, VISA is an entry into US which is issued based on your status at that time. Link to comment
JoeF
Yes, Every time you change employer and you leave US, you have to go for stamping.. It is annoying but it is the truth Wrong. Please don't post wrong information. It is perfectly ok to use the old stamp together with a copy of the new approval notice. Lots and lots of people do that all the time. Link to comment
