H1 Rejected

Hi Senior members,

My 1st H1 is valid till August 31, 2012 and I had filed my extension last month in premium processing which got rejected. Can I stay in the USA till August 31, 2012 and look for any other employer or I have to vacate the country immediately.

If you are working and getting paid by your employer till the end of your H1b stay, you can surely stay in USA till August 31, 2012. If not, need to leave.

The current H1 is still valid, so you can stay until it expires.

You have valid status till 31 Aug 2012. BTW, What was reason given for rejection?

Hello Archana,

can you please let me know why u r H1 extension is rejected....why they given RFE to your petition....did u r employer responded properly to that RFE..? If not please ask them to provide proper documents to USCIS once again.....

U can stay till August 31, 2012, there is NO problem... Its easy case to deal, NO worries to leave the country.... first of all sort out the problem....
