rahul58
Hi all, I’m currently with Employer A and will be joining another Employer (B) in couple of weeks and my new employer will be initiating GC for me. Could you please let me know if I would need to obtain a work experience letter from my previous employer in order to meet the necessary documentation for GC process? I’m afraid I would be getting the letter in 2 weeks time and not sure if I will be later on. If this is case and if the letter is required – what should I have to do? Are there any other alternatives that can be shown for proof of employment if requested? Please advise. Thank you very much! Link to comment
SameerH1Bworker
Experience letter is required in I-140 if you've not attached in PERM. Generally it takes approx 3-4 months to file PERM. So, you've plenty of time to get experience letter from previous employers. Now, if your employer will not give then you can submit self-affidavit + 2 colleagues' affidavit(who worked with you during that employment) will also work. Link to comment
