MURASRIR007
Hi, I have total experience for 8.5 Years and have 3 months left on my H1B visa and petition. My employer says that he would not be able to extend my petiton as he has to pay me a minimum salary of 90K for my role and experience as a tech analyst in NYC. He currently pays me only around 70K. He says this is a rule as per US dept. of labor's prevailing wage requirement. Could someone please advise me a solution? What should I do? Thanks! Link to comment
JoeF
Well, the only solution would be to find another employer, one who pays the prevailing wage. On H1, you always have to get paid the prevailing wage for the job in the region where the job is located. That's the law. Link to comment
