Visa Interview at Hyderabad

Hello All

iam planning to attend H1b Visa interview at hyd in first week of March. Below are my details:

Iam in 4th year of h1b

I was contractor working for consulting firm for my first H1b Term(3 years) . Joined client(was working for same client since April 2009) as FTE in Sept 2011 and started my 2nd H1b.

I have approved I140 (My date may become current this month) from my previous employer which i specified under DS160 form.

This is first time iam going to india after my masters. I did my masters in Environmental Engineering.

As of now i have below documents:

I797C and I797A approvals from current and previous employer.

Attorney gave copy of H1b petetion(PDF) for my current employer. which is having 118 pages. Do i need to take all of those?

Last year W2 forms from both employers

Pay stubs from both employers

Employment letter from both employers.

I do have all my degree certificates.

I can get my current company earning report from website directl(Its publicly traded company). But i dont have taxform/earning report from previous employer. Is it going to be an issue?

what are the chances of VO asking about my education and enquire how am working in IT? Do i need to take any specific precaution here for anwering quesiton. I did few certifications in IT but most of them are after completion of my masters.

what other documents and precautionary steps i need to take?

the best precaution and advice that i can give is 'JUST AVOID HYD'.chk out any immigration forums by searching for 'hyd'..and you will not regret my suggestion !

I strongly suggest you, skip Hyderabad - goto Chennai. I was in US for the past 12 years with multiple visas, I came to India after 5 years (to see parents / family) stuck here for no good reason. Please plan trip to India only in emergency :-).

What happend to your visa? Did they rejected multiple times or pending at consulate for long time.

My case is pending at Hyd consulate since 1 1/2 year.

1.5 yrs is very long time.... Didn't u tried yo change employer and reapply for new h1bvisa

I never had problems with visa so far. Had H1 / B1 / L1. It was pretty straightforward. It is my first attempt at Hyd and I am in waiting mode for the last 2 months. Hopefully I will have party time sooner or later.

For some reason, Hyd VOs are adopting stricter position to reject/refuse/revoke/withdraw visas.

looks like only FTE model 'works' at hyd..!

FTE works any where. There might be some PIMS delay or in the end your stamping should be done. Not talking about FTE at desi company but a genuine full time with US based company.

FTE having 98% chances of approval only cases where TAL triggers or security clearance over the common muslim names required are getting 221g, rest is good to go.
