Attorney_22 Posted February 8, 2012 Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 Generally it is not required to file a new H4 extension request with your change of employer H1B petition as long as your wife has a valid H4 I-94. However, it is advisable to do so to avoid complications if you forget to extend her status prior to the expiration.
