Applying H1B after Visitor Visa rejection under 214B

Recommended Posts

My husband and I applied the visitor visa to US in August 2011 and that got rejected under 214b. Consulate didn't even opened my passport or asked any question to me. She only asked 2-3 questions to my husband and rejected our visa.

We both are software professionals with 7 years of work Exp and travelled to Canada(my husband) and UK(myself) for work. We both are working in leading MNCs in India. Currently we both are in UK for work again till March end.

Now we are planning of applying H1B visas after returning back to India.

Can anyone tell whether H1B stamping has any impact of previous visitor visa rejection to US? If so How much time should we wait to apply for H1B. Its only been 5 months our visitor visa got rejected.

Also in case one of us can get H1B and others get rejected then what are the chances the spouse can get H4?

Your help is really appreciated.
