GC2k6PD
There's a question on DS-160 : Who pays for your trip? I work for a US employer and I'm currently on a personal vacation to India and therefore the trip will be paid by me, not by employer. During this trip, I also plan to go for visa stamping before returning to USA. Does it hurt my visa chances if I answered above question by saying, I will pay for the trip myself? Or should this always be answered like employer will pay for the trip? Link to comment

uday123
I don't think it will hurt if you say - you only paid for the trip. On top of it, if you say employer paid, it's you giving your hair to them and they might ask where is the proof..... Link to comment

mirage09
hey, the employer is not liable to pay for the visa stamping expenses. They can pay but are not liable. Link to comment
