L2 EAD, transfer to H1B

Hi All

I am currently on a L2 Visa,have a EAD & working.I am looking to transfer to H1B Visa.My doubt is,if my employer applies for a H1 during April Window(which will be effective from October),subsequently if the application gets approved in say for example June,will my L2 EAD immediately lapse & I can only start working again in October OR will my EAD will be valid until October,after which the approved H1 status will allow me to work from October.

Will appreciate if anyone can reply to this.

Your H1 can only start from October,1 . You remain in L2 status till then. In October you will either have a COS to H1 if the company has applied accordingly or you will need to leave and come back with the visa at that time.
