Name Format on I797

Hi,

I recently got my Visa approved and my name on Passport and all documents as

First Name: SALMAN BASHA

Last Name : SHAIK

In my I797 approval I have my name as

First Name: SALMAN B.

Last Name: SHAIK

So, will this be any problem in future if I go for Visa stamping or for anything. Please let me know do I need to request a name change to USCIS or I don't need to worry about it.

Please advise.

Nothing to worry about, they just print the middle initial... So nothing to worry about

Hi Salman25, did u go for your stamping with the same mismatch. My husband has the same issue with his name., for him all doc has A, B where as only his I797 and old passport(with previous h1 stamping) has AB,C. We are going for stamping this March 1st week. just so scared about this.

There would be a problem during driving license renewal. I am going through almost similar situation and the solution is not easy.

I didn't have any problem during stamping and port of entries.
