srinu25 Posted January 11, 2012 Report Share Posted January 11, 2012 Since May 16th 2011 I am staying in India. My I-797 is valid until January 2013 and My Visa stamp is valid until June 30th 2012. I plan to travel to US on June 1st week 2012. Can I travel with current I-797 (valid Jan 2013) along with current Visa till June 30 2012 without any issues at port of entry? OR My visa expires on June 30 2012. If I plan to travel June 1st week 2012 do I need to go for visa stamping with my current I-797 to extend my visa till Jan 2013? Once I reach US my company will apply H1B extension which includes one year break + vacation period. Note: when I last visited on Chennai US Embassy the visa officer issued visa until June 30 2012 saying that my 6 years tenure will reach June 30 2012. Please advise… Link to comment
