p4paulian
Hi My employer is delaying in filing my I 485, even though I am current. Can I do it myself? My employer will not provide me approval copy of I 140. How can i proceed. Link to comment
Belle
You should talk to your employer whether the job is really available to you. If so, they need to provide I-140 approval. If not, you should look for another employer. Just be clear - if they don't give you I-140 approval, it means that the permanent job is not available to you. Link to comment
p4paulian
Thanks for your response Belle It is the company policy to not provide approval copy of I 140. They are just delaying. I do have the receipt number. Mine was the porting case. So, old pd is ported to my new I 140. I have my old 140 copy from previous employer. Can any of these be used to file EAD or 485 myself or from an outside lawyer? Thanks Link to comment
murphyd
Very strange that your employer is delaying. My employer's lawyer made me collect all the documents in anticipation of dates becoming current and applied as soon as they became current with employer's approval. Is there any specific reason your employer is delaying ? Link to comment
