pistu
I received an RFE to prove validity of marriage. I am a newly wed, so we dont have any documents together as a couple to prove. I am in the process of opening a joint bank account, adding to insurance, beneficiary statement, etc. I would like to know what documents other than marriage certificate, newly weds or others who are in the similar situation, provide to prove the validity of marriage. Shurap1
Most likely the RFE is about proving the marriage is bonafide and also it RFE describes some documents (but not limited to) that you can present to prove this. Joint bank account statement, tax filing, lease agreement, spouse name on the passport, marriage certificate, utility/credit card bills showing address and both names, home/medical/auto insurance...there are many such documents you can present to prove this.
