SXI999
Hi, With H1B, can I work for two employers at the same time(both the payrolls running)? My current employer(full time) needs 3 week notice but new employer wants me to start in 1 week. So what options do I have in this case? 1. Can I go on vacation with 1st employer and start working for new one during that period? (My payroll will still be running with 1st employer, even when I am on vacation, as its full time position) 2. How soon(in terms of H1B transfer status) can I start working for the new employer, if current one lets me go in 1 week? Immediate help highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Link to comment
SXI999
Hi, can someone please help me, if you have an idea about this scenario? I have very less time to make a decision. Thanks. Link to comment
livliv
Technically you can only work for 1 employer at a time and you must work for 1 employer all the time. Link to comment
GCNE07
Even though it is not recommended (http://www.*********.html), it can happen. I worked for 2 weeks overlapping and requested new employer to change my joining date accordingly while money for the period was adjusted in the first pay slip Link to comment

BigJoe5
Concurrent employment is allowed. Each employer must file on your behalf. The second and each subsequent employer checks Part 2.2.d on the form I-129. Link to comment
