Urgent: Need to travel outside US and re-enter

Hi

I was working with company A and got my visa stamped valid till June 2013. Now I have changed my company to CompanyB and CompanyB wants me to travel outside US for 2 weeks in Dec 2012.

I want to know whether I need a visa stamped through companyB to re-enter US?

Note: My passport expires in May 2012.

This is really urgent. Please help.

You can use the existing visa with your latest H1 approval. You do need a Passport extension or you will get an I94 only till May,2012.

I don't think you can travel with expired passport. You need to renew passport in US via your country consulate and than go out of US, get stamp based on Company B approval. You may go for stamping in Dec 2012 or you may go for stamping to Canada / Mexico.

The advice about renewing the passport is ound. Please note YOU DO NOT need to get a new visa. Your visa in the existing Passport is valid. So you would carry both. Of course you may choose to get a new visa if you want.
