reddymm Posted December 7, 2011 Report Share Posted December 7, 2011 Hi , My H1 started from Oct 1st 2011. But my employer is deducting the taxes as he used to do it in OPT. I dont see any social security taxes deducted in my pay check. Can any one please suggest me what taxes need to be deucted if we are in H1 and do I face any problem because of my employer deducting wrong taxes since past two months. JoeF Posted December 8, 2011 Report Share Posted December 8, 2011 Talk to your HR. They have to fix that. The taxes deducted are the same as for every other employee, like US employees, others on GC or H1, etc. The exception is only for foreign students on F1. Link to comment
